Nokuse Trail Maintenance
February 5, 2008

On Tuesday, February 5th, Trail Hogs Wallis and Paul Mayo, Judi Russell, Andy Dula, Bill Lang, Charles Kraselsky, Larry Ankeney, L.B. Jones, Tom Daniel, John Hooten and Bob Deckert met on the Water Management section of Nokuse to do some initial trail cutting. We split up into two teams, each armed with loppers, mowers and chainsaws. We worked both west and east of Wolf creek and cleared about 1 3/4 miles of trail. It was a productive day and the end of our initial cutting phase is close at hand. When the dirty work was done we took a few minutes to make Nokuse Section history by giving the honor of painting the first blaze to Chapter Chair, Wallis Mayo. Thanks to beautiful weather and the above mentioned volunteers, it was a great day to be out on the trail.
