The Adventure Club is sponsored by the University of West Florida's Center for Lifelong Learning.  It is geared toward folks who are 5O and older who like to do active things.  We bicycle, hike, kayak, travel overseas, etc.  Our goal is to stay reasonably fit in a non-competitive atmosphere.

MAR 1, Saturday

3 PM.  Bike ride in the Gulf Breeze area.  Meet at the Gulf Islands National Seashore Naval Live Oaks Visitors Center on Highway 98 in Gulf Breeze.  Supper afterwards at a nearby restaurant.  HONCHO:  Nancy Fremgen ( 934-6380 ).

10 AM.  Bike ride in  historic downtown Mobile and after lunch enjoy the current exhibit (Our Body:The Universe Within) and IMAX (Wired to Win-Surviving the Tour de France) at the Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center (www.exploreum.net ) in Mobile. 3 PM.  Bike ride in the Sandestin Resort/Subdivision east of Destin.  Meet at the golf course club house parking area.  After the ride we will go to Harry and Elaine Olson’s place in Sandestin for a “bite to eat and a glass of wine” , as they like to put it.  The Olsons are our long time snowbird members.  HONCHO:  Pat Downey (cell 850-974-9591 )

3 PM.  Bike ride in the Bluewater Bay Subdivision/Resort in Niceville.  Supper at a nearby restaurant.  HONCHO:  Maria Bayes (897-6756).

APRIL ACTIVITY – A two night/three day trip to the Chief Ladiga Rails-to-Trails Bike Path in the Anniston, Alabama area has been planned for early April.  Details will follow in a separate e-mail within a couple of days.
