Florida Trail Association
Choctawhatchee and Western Gate Chapters
Activities  June  2008
Activity Participants Please note: contact the activity leader well in advance for more information and/or to reserve your place (Space is limited.) Unless instructed otherwise by the activity leader, each participant should bring: day pack, plenty of water (recommended minimum, 2 quarts), sun protection (hat, glasses, screen), insect repellent, lunch and or snacks, adequate clothing for the forecast, and comfortable, sturdy close toed shoes with socks. Long pants, work gloves, and extra water are recommended for work hikes. Activity leaders may deny participation to anyone who is inadequately prepared.
The Western Gate Chapter (western area) and Choctawhatchee Chapter (eastern area) span a longitude difference greater than 80 miles.  To help members determine which of the two geographic areas are involved in an activity or which of the two chapters is closer to, activities will be designated as: {WG, CC, Both}.  It goes without saying that members from any chapter are most welcome in any activity.  The descriptor Both implies that an activity is of such importance or has such widespread appeal that members from either chapter should consider the event directed specifically toward them.  Never, never should a member from either chapter refrain from attending an event because it is designated as the other chapter.  All activities are open to the public unless noted otherwise.
